ABOUT EHR

Elysium House Records strives to release “innovative, soulful” music informed by the myriad sounds and wisdom of the Southern American aesthetic. Formed by Lilli Lewis in 2003 as a vehicle for her releases, the label has produced &/or distributed work in folk, soul, jazz, classical, rock and spoken word with a publishing arm (Elysium House Music, ASCAP) that now represents 4 songwriters and a catalog of well over 200 compositions. Lewis is an award-winning singer/composer/producer, and voting member of the Recording Academy.

Deriving its name from the Greek realm of the Gods designated for the “heroic” and righteous to enjoy an afterlife in the manner in which they’d grown accustomed, Elysium House was the fantasy of a tight group of friends turned early music vocal ensemble from Lewis’ college years in Athens, GA. Their dream was to create a commune where everyone could be themselves and spend their days making art at will.

The metaphor of “Elysium House” has moved to the Elysian Fields of New Orleans, where the label is committed to releasing boundless, quality music from the members of its growing community.
